There is no "sacred moment"

Rencontre autour du livre « Dialogues avec l'Ange »

The bookshelves of those who ponder the meaning of life are usually filled with books on spirituality. There are very few people in this day and age who have followed a straight path and delved into it without taking a look at the teachings of other traditions.
The readers of Talking with Angels,I'm probably no exception to the rule, having accumulated dozens, if not hundreds, of books of wisdom. It's not that it's good or bad to accumulate books of wisdom; it's undoubtedly better than piling up books on war or pornography!

The angel spoke of the books and said:

There are many curious
but there were amazed.
They too were envoys.
Seek them out! They will teach you.
L. Books or men?
- It's all the same.
Be careful that they are amazed.
To him who seeks, the master is given. (E12L, p.66)

If books can teach and become our teachers, then let's listen to them. If we read Talking with Angels, with our heads alone, it will have no more effect on our lives, on the world, than any of the books read in the same way. Let's not tell ourselves stories! If we are content to let ourselves be lulled by the images, the prosody, if we are content to quote it, we will NEVER transform ourselves.

But this book is an invitation to transformation, in fact it's the guiding principle.

IF YOU TRANSFORM YOURSELF -,
MATTER - TOO
IS OBLIGED TO TRANSFORM.
(E30L, p. 186)

Transformation to bring about the New Man, made of Matter-Light.

That's no small responsibility. It can be overwhelming and seem so far removed from us that we tell ourselves they're just legends for children looking for something wonderful.
So we repeat the sentences and put the book back down, happy to have read it.

But what to do to transform oneself?

The only material at our disposal is our body and what we do with it: how do we treat it? How do we eat? What do we eat? How do we walk? How do we perform everyday tasks? All the everyday things we do. How do we relate to other people, our neighbours, our bosses, our employees, our colleagues, our children, our lovers, our fiancées, our parents? What thoughts do we entertain? What emotions do we feed on?
Oh, it's not a question of looking for recipes to be better, more 'aligned' as you might read in the vocabulary of personal development, esoteric mysticism.
It's about transforming the way we are in the world. Right here, right now. In the body that I am. In the activities I take on during my working life, during my retirement, during my working hours, during my holidays.
It's as simple as that.
No need to go to the ends of the earth.
No need to change jobs or place of residence.
This is the place.
It's so simple that you can't even realise it.
The Angel warns us:

The dreamer does not dream that he is asleep,
but that he's awake.
He acts, he goes, he comes, he speaks.
In reality, he is lying down and sleeping.
But dawn comes, and the mists of the dream are already dissipating.
THE NEW ACT IS APPROACHING.
(...)
EVERYTHING YOU DO NOW
IS DREAM ACT, DREAM THOUGHT. (E22G, p. 132)

Yes, but then, how to transform?

Apart from cases of illumination, which don't happen to everyone, and not that often, it's on a daily basis that Talking with Angels, invites us to transform ourselves. The book is full of precious little phrases: all you have to do is pick one up and put it into practice. And if we had to remember one, it would be this:

Every moment and the moment of the moment are doors.
THERE IS NO "SACRED MOMENT".
EVERY MOMENT IS SACRED.
(E28G p. 165)

even peeling potatoes, changing a wheel, scrubbing the toilet, let's not gargle about the great and beautiful things we think we do or have done because in truth:

From eternity to eternity, every moment works. (E54, p. 280)

Every moment is active. (E75, p. 338)

It's a hell of a responsibility... a hell of a responsibility!

But what is the key?

Before you act, sanctify the moment! (E21G, p. 123)

or :

START YOUR WORK
LIKE YOU'VE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE! (E13L, p. 73)

or :

Honor HIS Law even in the smallest things. (E11G, p.60)

It's about feeling connected to your Angel, moment by moment, and through the Angel, being connected to HIM:

EVERY STEP TOWARDS HIM IS AN AWAKENING.
EVERY EXISTENCE -
NOT JUST YOURS - IS JUST A DREAM.
A SUBTLE DREAM... MORE AND MORE SUBTLE...
BUT A DREAM.
ONLY ONE AWAKENING: HIM. (E14G, p.76)

Basically, it's simple: it's about putting HIM at the centre of ourselves. In practical terms. It may seem impossible. All we have to do is imagine that HE (Ö: HE-SHE in Hungarian) is our beloved, and HE is!

And then the Angel encourages us to banish the thought of our unworthiness and powerlessness, for it is this that cuts us off from HIM.

If you're tired during lessons, don't be ashamed,
and you won't be tired any more. (E13L, p.74)

And finally, this invitation to constant union with HIM is summed up in one passage:

Here is the secret of eternal life:
That all your deeds, your faith, your thought, your love
are constant.
Any sedation -
is agony, disappearance.
Let it all hang out -
is fainting, dead.
All repentance, all starting again -
are healing, resurrection. (E81, p. 359)

So let's not be satisfied with being touched on the surface of ourselves and let's set out, concretely, effectively on the path of transformation. Knowing that the return to HIM erases all the falls that preceded this return and that, therefore, we have nothing to do to transform ourselves other than to leave ourselves, to offer HIM each of our moments and to carry HIM within us like a precious jewel, the presence of eternity inscribed in time.
