Gitta Mallasz, ordinary wonder

06/08/2014

Ever since I had read Dialogues with the Angel, Gitta Mallasz had been something of a myth to me. Someone to whom the Angels had spoken could only be a haloed saint, impressive, wise and already supernatural. Zero for my romantic, prefabricated image. I met a dynamite little woman, sparkling with humour, practical, passionate about life and, above all, so natural! (Jeanne Gruson)

Now that the magazine "Clés" has ceased publication and closed its website, we reproduce here her article "Gitta Mallasz, l'émerveillement ordinaire", collected by Jeanne Gruson.

Ever since I read Dialogues with the AngelFor me, Gitta Mallasz was a kind of myth. Someone to whom the Angels had spoken could only be a haloed saint, impressive, wise and already supernatural. Zero for my romantic, prefabricated image. I met a dynamite little woman, sparkling with humour, practical, passionate about life and, above all, so natural!

Gitta Mallasz: But yes, I'm a very ordinary person, and if the Angel spoke to 4 people as ordinary as us, it was to show that union with your Angel is now possible for everyone.

In 1943, Hanna, Joseph, Lilli and Gitta, 4 artist friends, live in a village near Budapest where they have set up their studio. The first 3 are Jewish, Gitta Christian, but none of them practise their religion. All of them, however, are searching for something else, for a truth they sense but don't know where to find. Their questioning is intense and one day, on 25 June to be exact, through the voice of Hanna, with her conscience fully awake, the Angels began a weekly dialogue that ended on 24 November 1944. Hanna, Lilli and Joseph died in concentration camps soon after. Only Gitta survived, and her task was to bring these 88 interviews to the world.

Currently, Dialogues with the Angel is translated into 12 languages. This teaching is individual and dynamic. It is for anyone who wants to take responsibility for their own development. Gitta may be an ordinary person, but she is an ordinary person from whom life constantly springs, and talking to her is a real gift.

New Keys: In my culture, the Angel has a romantic, old-fashioned, not to say kitsch, image. But in the Dialogues, I was surprised, the Angel is so different!

GM: But yes, in my experience, "the Angel is other, completely other". In fact, that's the title of my next book, to be published by Aubier. I felt that the Angel was our essential complement, our counterpart in the light. He is our living half, and we are his vivified half. He is our invisible prefiguration, and we are his figuration in the visible. He is our timeless counterpart, and we are his time-bound counterpart. He is our intuitive half in spirit, and we are his executive half in matter. One day, when we are consciously united with him, we will live these two halves of life simultaneously. It will be life ONE.

NC: One day... but how many centuries will we have to wait?

GM: According to the Angel, this transformation is imminent. But as He is not in our space-time, it's difficult for me to give precise details. What is certain is that humanity's evolutionary process is now taking a leap forward. A great unknown Spring is beginning, the Spring of a humanity that has never before existed.

NC: Do you have a premonition of what this Unknown Spring could be?

GM: In nature, spring arrives every year. Its forces awaken and nurture the germs that lie in wait. For humanity, spring is here for the first time. Now the seeds of a new humanity will grow.

" Spring is here.
There, where life hides, there, it must grow.
Time is short:
Eternal dream or eternal life?
The tree will bear fruit for the first time.
Buds, promise of fruit, don't delay!
Break through the old!
Everything is decided now. »

Sometimes, in a moment of dazzling perception, I am given to perceive the considerable luck of today's man. We will soon be evolving towards a Matter-Light body. Soon a tremendous release of Spring Energy will pour over our planet like a torrent of light, awakening a New Consciousness. Each of us will receive what we are able to bear and, above all, to transmit.

NC: In the Dialogues we often talk about the New Man. Don't you feel that this concept is a bit hackneyed?

GM: Rabbit? Do you think the human race is so perfect that it no longer needs to evolve? The man of today seems to me to be no more than the confused sketch of a possible masterpiece. Everything is already there, in embryo, but has not yet taken its rightful place. "There is no right knowledge of man

"For man is not yet.
The man is so big,
That I don't see it yet either. »

The great thing is that we are simultaneously the artist and the work. We are our own creators. The great divine plan alone is not enough. Each of us is responsible for it, and by our free choice at every moment, we participate in the new creation. Man is the bridge between the created world and the creative world, between matter and light.

NC: And what about us, the men and women of today?

GM: We are still children, already almost adolescents. And just as after a certain maturity of the body we become capable of living the act of bodily love, after a certain maturity of the soul, we become capable of living the act of universal love. This begins with a relentless search. Searching for what? Perhaps for a love that no longer disappoints, for an exciting task, or for the meaning of one's life. When this search reaches the maximum intensity of which we are capable, only then can the spark ignite, and the first current with its "pareil of light" is established. This is the beginning of our universal love story. The human being is the only being in the world who can simultaneously and consciously experience the union of the forces of heaven and the forces of matter in the intoxication of their interpenetration. From this act of love comes the new child, the immortal child whose body is matter penetrated by light. Thus is born the masterpiece of creation, and that is ourselves.

NC: These prospects are seductive, but aren't they simply fantasies? Can the Angel give me concrete help today with all the difficulties of everyday life?

GM: Of course you can! The first step is to become aware that I can create a dialogue with my "pareil of light", my Angel, or even my Inner Master - it doesn't matter what you call him or her. And this encounter is a natural one.

"What could be more natural
What to talk together? »

All I have to do is formulate my question in simple, precise, concise words, but the request is necessary. The Angel's only requirement is immense attention.

"Pay attention!
The word is creative
Because it concentrates everything
He centers.
You put your shortcomings into words
That's how the spark was created.

It's only at the top of my question that I can find the answer, and that answer is never a recipe. The Angel opens up new perspectives that allow us to find our own solutions.

NC: Would it be that simple?

GM: Yes, but dialogue alone is not enough. The Angel keeps stressing the importance of action. Since my car accident about a year ago, I've been living with my friends Bernard and Patricia Montaud. I observe with great interest the practice that takes place in Art' As, an association created by Bernard, and in which we learn the art of the "right act".

What I like about it is that it's not just another technique for rising to the highest spheres of spirituality. It's about learning how to live your daily life well and concretely. They use the language of the body in "sitting still" as a tool. The discomforts of the body and the way we treat them are always a reflection of our attitude to life. From each awareness, all that remains is to find the concrete, simple, individual act by which each of us can move forward on our own path and get closer to our Prefiguration, our Angel.

I don't practise sitting still at all, but when I meet members of Art' As, I'm amazed at the extent to which rigorous teaching, based on responsibility for the act on a daily basis, awakens individuality and a zest for life. And on this secure foundation, the Angel can set foot.

NC: Do you practice any other spiritual discipline?

GM: No, on the contrary, the Angel said to me:

“I exempt you from all form.
Walk your own path
All the rest is misguidance. »

This is my individual path. For others, however, the form may be a 'path', provided that it contains the possibility of being surpassed.

NC: You don't have any disciples, you haven't created any schools or ashrams. Is it still possible to have direct contact with you?

GM: Of course I do. I give 6 "conference-meetings" a year in Lyon. They take the form of questions and answers. I love playing ping-pong with the readers of Dialogues.

NC: If I had to define you in one word, I would say that you are contagious, contagious with life.

GM: You're both right and wrong: wrong because it's not me who's contagious, it's the message from the Angels; right because life can and will now become more contagious than the disease.

NC: Do you feel like you're intruding?

GM: Disturbing is a big word, but I know that I am disappointing some souls, because I am not a new winged specimen easy to classify in the zoological garden of esotericism. I simply have this to say: the natural encounter with the Angel destroys all expectations of sensationalism. Gone is the great mysterious and romantic thrill. The encounter with the Angel takes place in the small acts of everyday life. By simply accepting our imperfection, we attract the perfect. Only emptiness without expectation attracts the unexpected divine. Only thirst attracts the intoxicating drink. And there's no need for the miraculous when you're living in daily wonder.

“The miracle is already below, under your feet.
The new world does not know the miracle.
The old miracle is the stepping stone to the new one!
There are the little ones huddled.
What comes is the elusive cause of causes.
