On February 19, 2019, Adda organized a conference-reading-debate entitled: The Fire of the Spirit, and what about the Soul? in the light of Orthodoxy and Dialogues with the Angel. Marguerite Kardos, president of the association, had invited Archbishop Germain, from theOrthodox Catholic Church of France and Juliette Binoche, who has often testified publicly to the importance of this text for her, which has become her " bedside book ".

Why Talking with Angels is of burning topicality in our time? Because we live in a time of transition.

Mgr Germain explains that in the Orthodox tradition, according to Saint Denys the Aeropagite, the angels are organised into nine circles (angels, archangels, principalities, powers, virtues, dominions, thrones, cherubim, seraphim), which corresponds to the structure of the human being.

In fact, man's body is threefold: the physical body, the sensitive body and the mental body; his soul has three levels: it is the receptacle of gifts, it can have a virile character that enables us to discover and express our gifts, and it leads us towards transcendence; and his spirit has three characters: the "spirit", the "spirit", the "spirit" and the "spirit". we (the silence), the logo and the pneuma.

What does the Angel of the Soul say?:

In Orthodoxy, "man is spirit and matter; he is the synthesis of the two. This makes man the most dynamic creature in Creation. The aim is to make the link".

The issue of Gitta Mallasz popped up: "How could I still hear your voice? ".
So what to do with the free will that man has received?

If man does not depend on HIM alone, he is not free.

“L. Tell me about the interdependence of body, soul, spirit.
-If they rise towards HIM, there is interdependence.
Otherwise, everything falls apart,
everything becomes dust and ashes, even the spirit,
if they do not rise up to HIM. (...)
IF YOU DEPEND ON THE BODY –

To serve the Spirit or to disperse in its “dependencies”?

Monsignor Germain talks about the role of the Holy Spirit in moving man towards God. It is the Holy Spirit who leads man towards Wisdom, the Wisdom of which the Bible says in Proverbs:
"I was with him as a master builder, delighting in him day after day, frolicking all the time in his presence, frolicking on the face of the earth and delighting in the children of men" (Pr 8).

And how can we listen to the Holy Spirit?

By entering into intimacy with Him in her heart.
The Angel speaks of the heart as :

“The sanctuary of sanctuaries. The place where HE dwells.
The Place of Grace, the Chalice » (E24G, p. 141)

Marguerite Kardos asks Monsignor Germain to talk about the Orthodox theology of the heart.
"God wants man to give him refuge in himself, and the temple in man is the heart. The Holy Spirit enters our heart, which is the centre of our being. It is the place of intimacy between man and God and between God and man. It is the secret chamber to which we have access, either through the liturgy, or through direct face-to-face contact, or through both".

It is in the heart that unite body, soul and spirit, Man is the link between the Created World and the Creator World, through Co-birth.

To conclude, Marguerite Kardos says the following passage in Hungarian, then Juliette Binoche reads it:

then the Light can come.
