In March 1976, "Les Vivants et les Dieux" devoted a programme to Gitta Mallasz, while Dialogues avec l'Ange, initially entitled "Les Quatre Messagers", was soon to be published.

Gitta Mallasz describes the circumstances in which the four friends conversed with the angel... the angels... and, at the height of the deportation of Hungary's Jews, with an increasingly distant "choir of angels".

In his preface to Talking with AngelsClaude Mettra wrote:"It is in the depths of the night that the light manifests itself. It is when the heart is in darkness that the clear voice, close to the sun, pushes back the darkness. This light, this clear voice, is witnessed here by the four messengers. It was in Budapest, in the year of disgrace 1943, when the sky darkened, as if an immense, black beast had flown between this earth of ours and the sun, which was charged with giving us its light.
